Determine if GPS is stolen?

Post by SheepDog »

I found a guy selling a BMW Navigator V locally.  I'm new to GPS units; is there anything I should be aware of to look for? Any way to determine if it's stolen?

When they are registered new with Garmin they ask for an Email address.  Ask him what it is. You could then I suppose  contact Garmin and ask them to confirm that if you also get its serial number.
