BMW TS Safari 2016 (Australia)

Post by Waratah »

Two weeks ago I participated in the BMW TS (Touren Sports) Safari 2016, organised by BMW Australia, essentially for road bikes. This year the Safari commenced in Kingscliff (northern New South Wales) and ended five days later (after approximately 2,300km or 1,430 miles) at Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains.  During the five days 120 bikes (many R1200RTs plus diverse R, K and GS models),20 pillions and 10 support crew travelled back and forth across the Great Dividing Range, covering some of the best motorcycling roads NSW has to offer and staying each night in coastal holiday resorts. I have posted a number of images in the following Flickr album:-

It certainly was Richard.  BMW Australia run two GS events each year, the GS Safari and the GS Enduro, with a road bike TS Safari run biennially (see link below).  So popular they're booked out well in advance.
