1200 RTP crash bars

Post by Sky Bear »

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the right hand front fairings with the engine bars in place?

I have taken of a standard front fairing, two parts, the larger and smaller. It looks to me if it may be tight to get the larger fairing off due to the crash bars.

Has anyone removed the original crash bars and refitted them? What torque did you do them up to.

Any and all help appreciated.

Thank you

I don't think this is a problem with the RT fairing. The most popular engine guards: Iliumworks and Wunderlich do not get in the way of tupperware removal. Neither do the BMW
If it takes you all day to do something you used to do all day, you are getting old.

For anyone at a future date with the same query the answer is yes you need to loosen of the crash bars to remove the Tupperware. Having done it today the original Police bars will foul the side piece but it is only one bolt so easily done.
