Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

LED Driving Lights

Post by odiethedog »

Evening all, got some LED driving lights for fathers day and I thought it would be easy to connect them in to the main beam but it looks a right chew on.....

Can any of you suggest the best place to join in to?

Id prefer they only came on when the ignition is switched on.

I installed some after market LED onto the OEM brackets. I powered them through a fuze block to a Skena IQ-275 Intelligent Lighting Controller. The trigger I used to turn them on is the wire from the tail light, so they come on/off with powering up or turning off the bike.
This was on a 2016 RT.

I fitted OEM LED lights to my 2015 RT, However I do have 2 other items that are ignition switched, namely a camera and hyperlite brake lights. Both get their power from one of these http://www.fuzeblocks.com which is ignition switched by the feed to the rear accessory socket.
