OCD cleaning...!

Post by Sullivj »

So now the bike is home, I've started on the cleaning regime..

Today's job was to clean the rest of the exhaust and stands. That's one more job ticked off the list!

I took the end can off, but the rest was done in situ, laying on the garage floor.  I'm pleased how well it came up though. I'm trying to do the difficult cleaning jobs first... It's the sump next :-(

So tonight, the cleaning continued with the sump, timing cover and final drive.

Once cleaned, I'm coating these parts with ACF 50. I use it on all my bikes as it's an excellent corrosion inhibitor.

The hole inside the final drive  isn't cleaning up as well as I would like, so I need to try that again.

Did I mention my OCD?....today, I bagged up 60 new microfibre cloths so that they don't get dusty in the workshop - LOL..!

Sadly, I 'only' have 3. That picture was the showroom where I bought it.

And the OCD cleaning continues...!

I took the pads out and cleaned up the rear wheel and calliper. I was impressed how easily the rear wheel came out.

This is becoming slightly obsessive!
