Just for fun.
I went out for a ride this morning with friends, one of whom was on a 300cc twist and go. We covered over 125 miles around the highways and byways of East Kent. Our top speed was probably about 65mph. The picture shows the mpg average, not instant. According to the app on my phone the 74.5mpg equates to 62.03 mpg US, 26.37 Kim's/litre or 3.792 litres/100km. The consumption meter was zeroed at the last fill as was the trip.
Anyone better these figures?

I equalled it following a car for 190 miles on motorways . Not doing that again.

Hang on. Your ride mode setting shows RAIN (today in Kent?
). You need to experiment in ROAD or DYNAMIC to get a realistic mpg.

To keep the fun meter in the red, I ride in dynamic and plan on 40mpg US. Yes I can do better, riding with Harley buddies 45-50 is average but speed limited to 75 max as the old V-twins really suck gas above 75

Sorry, I should have added that it was showing 70.4 in normal mode and I wondered whether it would make any difference. The change was made about halfway through.

Mode settings make very little difference to mpg. What you do with the twist grip is what matters, and of course constant high speed .

Well I've had my LC for just over 2 years. Less 3 months for the shock recall & 1 month from the accident. Just short of 20000 mls. I can't get more than 48.8 mpg on the computer. ... but then I progress!!

I have no idea what mine does MPG. I never look at what the computer says and I don't reset the Trip or anything like that. I just ride it and when the yellow light starts to flash, I put more go juice in it.

This morning I brimmed the tank in Blairgowerie and then spent the day riding to John O Groats. This included going over two ski resorts having a cheese toasty in Tomintoul and missing as much if the A9 as is humanly possible. 258 miles later the tank still had a reserve of 90 miles. Don't know what the mpg was but it's a lot.

You must be coasting down the hills - either that or riding it like an old bloke!
