Top Box Lid

Post by Lynxfixer »

Guys, I'm planning on carrying out a lighting mod to my top box that will necessitate removing the plastic lining from the lid. However , after removing all the screws, the lining still doesn't want to come out. Does anyone have instructions or a video on this? Wanted to ask before sticking a screwdriver down the side and breaking off a load of plastic tabs!!
Kind regards...........

If it's this box then I'm afraid you're going to struggle, it's held in place with double sided sticky tape. We have one at work that belongs to a colleague and we can't get it apart.  :(

Bugger!! Guess I'm going to have to rethink my mod then. How about taking the bottom liner out, is that a bitch as well?

I haven't dismantled the lower but I believe that can be done. See this here

I did the same and just ran the wire through the top. The wire is secured to the inside of the top.

I wanted to hide the wire away... but from discussions on the MOA board... I learned it was very difficult to get that lid apart.
