Nice bike. Not sure I would now buy a 2016 spec bike with the 2017 in the showrooms though.

Really, are they painting extra bikes then, so if you get one now is a 17 spec, but if you bought one earlier in the year is a 2016 spec. The Iconics that were sold earlier in the year, didn't have cornering ABS, so they were 2016 spec AFAIK

I asked last month about one in a showroom and apparently later higher number ones are 17 spec.  Could have been salesman blurb of course.

My dealer salesman told me that 2016 models came off the production line before the August holiday, 2017 models then started to be produced when the factory started up again, so I would assume all iconics were 2016 spec. The obvious clue is the amber reflector on the side of the fork legs now appearing on 2017 (euro 4) models.
My 4th R1200RT = 2016 (2017 MY) R1200RT LE

Sounds logical and correct.  All Iconics are 16 spec.  I was miss informed last week.

Hi All

Been lurking on here for a couple of Months, but took the plunge a few weeks ago and today picked up a 2017 RT Dynamic  Carbon Black.
Bit of a change from the previous bike a 2014 Triumph Sprint GT.
Got a few things to sort before I take it out for a stretch tomorrow.
Will be using it virtually daily for my commute and weekends for fun

Carbon black is a good colour - and nearly as quick as Callisto Grey...

I think the confusion is that Quartz Blue looks like Callisto Grey, when you look at it through your rose-tinted spectacles...
