I had to take the mirrors and dash trim off today to replace a side light bulb that had popped.
While doing the job I was a little concerned about how easy it was to knock the mirrors off and the potential for costly damage should one hit the ground.
So I knocked up a cheap fix using a couple of lengths of wire, two "Eye" style crimp on electrical terminals and two screw type terminals.
Not the prettiest of solutions but fucntional, it's all hidden away when the mirrors are back in place and cost me nothing as I just used bits I had knocking around the garage.
Eye terminal is put behind one of the ratianing bolts
Then the wire is fed through one of the small holes behind the mirror and secured in place with the Screw style electrical connector.
Once all back in place it's all nicely hidden and should hopefully stop the mirror from hitting the floor if someone knocks it off.
