Someone's got that wrong, when I put my lid on at work I'm still ugly, not distinguished...... :alas:

In the same way that Ebony isn't ebony - it's brown - the Carbon Black isn't black - it's a very deep blue.

Looks awesome...

I wonder what colour the Alpine White is when you see it for real...
I prefer to say that Ebony is Rootbeer! Still an awesome color in my opinion.ImageImage

I've heard that alpine white is the best colour offered by BMW, but I may be bias on that matter.

I'm sure they had a black or should I say dark blue at the NEC. Didn't look black to me or a very good twist on the colour to get everyone talking about it. To the point we need to drop into the franchise to see.

Getting back to the original question.  It still is and it's called grey and that's what it is.

Nah......'grey may no longer be the best colour'......was it ever....??😉 As for this new so-called carbon black that isn't, when in fact it's just another shade of blue!👍.
Fifty shades of grey?? No thank heavens, but fifty shades of blue......now that could be interesting...??!!😉🤔

Saw a new 'carbon black metallic' at Balderstone's in P'boro at the weekend whilst getting my '14 its first MOT, it looked a very dark blue metallic (a bit uninspiring really).
The pictures of the alpine white show the frame as either silver or black depending on which site you look. Can anyone who has seen one in the flesh tell me which it is?

My Alpine White has a silver frame. Haven't seen any black frame versions.

The Iconic in the advertising pic above shows it with a silver engine, every Iconic (RT) I've seen as a black engine ?
