Battery Warning Light

Post by Sullivj »

When I start my 2012, the battery warning light appears for a few seconds after the bike has started.

Is this 'normal', or indicative of a failing battery?  I believe it's the original battery, so could it be due for a change?

If a voltmeter is available, this Yuasa battery & charging system test may be helpful, https://www.yuasabatteries.com/faqs.php?action=1&id=30

Yuasa (MDS) do this battery for a 2012 RT, https://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/produ ... oupID=9079

The Part No. for the Battery on a 2012 Twin Cam is 61 21 2 346 800.

The BMW (Exide) battery is £155.00, https://www.rainbowbmw.com/BMWETK/Produ ... 102586.php

The Exide (BMW) battery is half the price, https://www.tayna.co.uk/GEL12-19-Exide- ... P8398.html
