Some RT things to sell for current model

Post by Gadgetsandwheels »

Hello all

Well, I decided to trade the RT in for an S1000R. Just fancied a change. Loved the RT but mid life crisis time strikes 😂

So I have some things to sell...

Akropovic exhaust £475
Luggage liners BMW £125
Helibar bar risers £75
Mirror kit (GS mirrors and Wunderlich extenders plus correct clamps if you have aux light switch fitted £95

Let me know if you are interested

Cheers

Glencoe, sorry but I've beaten you to them.

Hi Barry,
No problem, I'm interested in how much of an improvement they make to you.
I am 5'9' and feel like I need just a little lift and closer reach of the bars at times.
I also seem to sit quite far forward on the seat and no where near the seat hump.

Jeff,
It's really strange now that they're on. I don't feel that "oh great, I've got the bar risers" more a case of it's just more natural and comfortable for me.
I'm 5ft 10ins and it just gives me that bit more relaxed sitting.
The fact that they're higher seemed weird at first but I've now done over 300miles, with another 250 tomorrow, and just love them.

Fitting was a doddle, instructions, photos and extractor bar, the right hand bar took slightly longer to replace as there are different controls.
Not sure that I would have paid £300 for them though.

Might meet up smetime

Barry
I'm pleased that you feel fitting them was worth the effort, it's always that little bit that makes all the difference.
I agree, I wouldn't pay hundreds for them either.
Enjoy, catch up soon,

Take care

Interesting comment on the bar raisers.  I feel as though I don't sit far enough back on the seat suffering numb bits and pieces getting cramped on the tank.  I am about 5'10" and feel I need something like this to help.  Is there any threads that go into rider comfort including saddle and handle bar aftermarket bits and pieces.  Sorry to hijack this thread but in context it follows on? :o

Thanks

If you look at the various risers etc and see how much higher or how much they come back, put the measurements into here http://cycle-ergo.com

You can see how much different it will make to your posture and other ergonomics :)

Is the exhaust still available?
So when is this “old enough to know better” supposed to kick in?

Interested in the luggage liners if they are still available?

What year (s) do they fit?

Thanks
