Buying a white RT

Post by grisopaul »

Hello All,
Expat from Canada living in US.
Yesterday I put a deposit on a white RT and I will be trading an 11RT. I love riding up in James Bay or Manic Cinq areas of Quebec, so lots of bugs. My track record of cleaning my gray RT isn't the best, what am I thinking getting a white bike?

It's not as bad as you think. Mine always seems to pass the 'stand off' test, no matter how dirty it gets. Stand a few feet away and it looks fine. Get really close and you suddenly realise just how badly it needs a wash! Regarding bugs, there are treatments you can put on the screen to make it much easier to wipe off the remains.

Enjoy the new bike!

Thanks.
Hoping white will be more noticeable on the road.

You'll love the white bike - I too have a 2017 RT in white and you know - it is the fastest color! >:D

I've always been drawn to white bikes, hence, my 17' RT. You're going to love it.

I also went for white as IMO the lighter colours make the RT look slimmer and less bulky. The added bonus is the cheaper purchase price :)

Those cylinder head protectors are a bit over the top aren't they? I bet they limit your cornering ability!  :))

Looks really neat, although how much luggage is that, presume it's camping gear? That's a very expensive option for cylinder head guards:)
thanks and regards, Ganesh

The top case is on for a 2up ride. We can go for two weeks with all our camping gear in the cases, including two days of meals.  All of our long rides are in Canada. Less traffic and more places for wild camping. My daughter lives in Belgium and we very much want to ride Europe this year.
You guys have a great sense of humour.
