Rechargeable tyre inflator

Post by stayingupright »

Just seen this on Amazon ..... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071XTHWQF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gKovAbRG4P62J

Does anyone have one of something similar?

Have to admit I'm tempted at that price.

Couple of my riding buddies have them, great for topping off bike and motorcycle tires, no complaints. Sure wish I had one when I was really into mountain biking

I just bought one on Amazon.ca. If you're tempted at that price, buy one! I inflated my tires to various pressures and it works very well. It inflated my front tire from 1.6 BAR to 2.5 BAR in well under a minute. The pressure indicator corresponds perfectly to my digital pressure gauge which I know is correct. The unit is compact and will stow nicely in my top case. It's surprisingly quiet as well. Say goodbye to having to pay to use those beat-up air pumps at the gas stations where the compressor is so loud you can't hear if air is going into the tire or escaping.

Just to say thanks for letting me know. Mine arrived in the post today. Ace to have if you are touring, and comes with cigarette charger also!

Sounds interesting, any idea how long it lasts on one charge? The reason I ask is that when I got a slow puncture I had to stop numerous times at garages to top it up just to get home. If it only lasts a couple of inflations then maybe a small compressor running off the bike battery would be better?

Used mine today for the first time and am well impressed.

It measures 195mm x 55mm and weighs about 500g

Handy thing to have and will spend most of its life in the boot of my car but will come out for the bike trips as well.
