LC screen to stay up when ignition turned off

Post by garr2 »

Is there any way I can get the screen of my 2015 LC to stay up when I turn the ignition off?

When I wash the bike I want to wash the instrument side of the screen and that's easier done with the screen up.

Hi Garr2
Without sounding like i'm taking the pi55 I also find it a pain to wash the instrument side of the screen, so I just leave the ignition on (keyless so no key barrel to fill with water).
It also stops the alarm going off when I hit it with the jet wash.

Yes, agreed, it is a pain, albeit a minor one! I also leave the ignition on briefly whilst cleaning the lower part of the screen on the inside. Re alarm not going off - wouldn’t it be easier just to disable the alarm whilst you wash the bike, then you wouldn’t have to rely on jet washing with the ignition on.......??

But you only need it 'on' for say, a maximum of 30 seconds. I leave mine on for ages because I have the bike radio on whilst I was the bike.
