Thanks for the pics. I like the set up. Did you drill and tap the bar end yourself or buy it that way?
Went through Zion last fall. Even though it was after Labor Day, it was pretty crowded. I think you lucked out on your ride.

No external mic.  Mount is a cross between RAM and homegrown.

Drill and taped it my self. As for about Zion, was there mid July, and were there early in the morning.
Entered the North side as we came from Denver. It became crowded as we reached the more popular
entrance, in our case , exit, South-West. From there went to Vegas. just a few days earlier we were
in New York :alas:

Thanks for the picture. I like your set up too. Nice touch with the USB port. The biggest complaint I have with my hero 6 is battery life. Not thrilled about drilling holes in the speaker cover but it looks like a good solution.

No holes drill into the speaker cover.  I used that screw in the lower left corner of the cover and some double sided 3M emblem/badge tape.

Also, I wired in the USB power port right off the battery in case I needed to continue recording or charge the battery.  You are correct, battery life is very poor.

This is similar to the charger I used:

Thanks for the video - lovely roads and scenery.
So when is this “old enough to know better” supposed to kick in?
