Nav VI Garmin Android Smartphone Link

Post by guest4915 »

Has anybody had problems or success using Android Smartphone Link with their Nav VI?

My Nexus 5 connects perfectly with the Nav VI (Bluetooth) and the phone and media work perfectly. However, the Smartphone Link 'live traffic update' application refuses to connect.

The same app works perfectly well on my £100 Garmin car sat nav with the same phone.

I only got my Nav VI yesterday so have not had a chance to try and connect mine to my Samsung yet.

Very little info online about this latest version
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.

I use a Samsung 8 with a Nav VI but it can be a bit temperamental when connecting. For some reason I have to make sure the phone connects to our Scala freecom 4 prior to the nav.

Do you mean the BT connection or the Smartlink application?
