Final Drive Oil for RTW

Post by Bonwit »

Can some one tell the specification for final drive oil for the RTW? Is it the same oil as the older CamHead final drives used? I used Land Rover LRN 7591 Gear Oil in that bike. It met BMW's 75w90 GL5 Fully Synth spec for those bikes (same as Castrol SAF-XO). I've got some left, and wonder if I can use it in the new bike?

So, just to be clear, there has been no change to the final drive oil specification since the Camhead days?

Hasn't changed
I currently use Motul 300 gearbox oil in 75/90, came recommended by a very reputable independent shop
Available on amazon
So easy to change on the LC bikes, I do it at each oil change, just remember to remove filler plug first
Beauty supply store supplied a perfect plastic bottle with spout, even has 180ml marked off

Is this the oil you are referring to T6Pilot?
