Footrest Stopper

Post by David. »

While maintaining & cleaning the bike today, noticed that the LHS rider footrest stopper was missing.

They cost £5.10 each plus £3.00 p&p from Allan Jefferies.

No, and it doesn't say much for the BMW blue thread lock either.

Part ordered last Saturday, wasn't in stock, had to come from Germany. Arrived & fitted today, not bad service, 3 working days for delivery.

The heat created by dragging a footrest round long bends may be enough to loosen the blue thread lock .....  best keep an eye on it  ;D

"There is no stupid question, just stupid answers " was told growing up. And not by my mom!!! :alas:
You may be confused by the name stopper!  It is actually a safety pin under the footrest that
pushes it up if it hits the road.

Forget the extended footrest (not mime),  this is what the stopper looks like in situ.
