Good luck you will enjoy. Info older top box fits can be picked up eBay  under £300 or Givi do a specific rack. Avant fender extender good buy. Also navigator sat nav  useful especially if touring more.

I'm sure you'll love the bike! The only thing (unless I missed it) that you may want to consider, is swapping out the stock seat. However, you may be one of the few who does fine with the stock seat. My stock seat was good for the first 125-150 miles. After that, I would be very uncomfortable. I planned on a Russell Day Long seat. But, the $1000 price tag made me think long and hard about that! During that "thinking" phase, I picked up a gently used Sargent World Sport Performance seat for $200. Just completed an 8 day, 4,000 mile journey (one 700 mile day) and the seat fared very well. If you plan on doing some miles, I'd be surprised if the stock seat will do it for you. Good luck!

Bandytails I’m based in East Yorkshire....

As for top box I’ve a 56ltr Givi box that I know will take my helmet, jacket, gloves and a lot of other things and shut easily so I’ll get a givi rack I think and I have a tomtom sat nav for touring which doesn’t do a lot as I never lead 😂😂...

I’ve lots to think about after the test ride 😁

Well I had the test ride yesterday and oh my word why have I not tried this bike before  :-* .... Everything was fantastic the ride, the amazing lack of heavy weight and all the gadgets that were on the demo model!!

I took the bike out at 10am and returned it at 3.30pm (no one else was down to have it so they let me use it Salome as I wanted 😃) I even impress d myself how good I could ride it which was a lot better than my actual bike lol, needless to say I WILL be joining the BMW fold at some point.

What an amazing bit of machinery and the quick shifter is just something else!

Guessed you would.
It's a truly fantastic bike that gets better the more you ride it.
Have fun.

Gman1969 no not bought one yet I’m torn between a 16 model  with 5900 miles on it and some extras (not keyless ride) or a 17 model with 2k on and the works but as you can imagine the price difference is a lot and the part ex on my bike is as always less than anyone hopes.... I was going to try and wait out until February time and see if I could get a good deal if they aren’t selling but I’d like one to take to Switzerland in September be.... I shall keep you informed 👍
