They probably couldn't stand being dictated to by the BMW Mothership. Being forced to do things how the Distributor wants not the dealer. I'm not saying this is the case, but it is (guarded) feedback I have been getting from a few dealers out there.

Sounds quite plausible. That’s more or less what became of the original Motorrad franchise in Bristol. The good news with them (Bath Road Motorcycles) is that they retained the BMW trained mechanics and the specialist tools!👍🙂

Looks like I'll have to use Cotswold Motorrad for at least the rest of the warranty period. I've no idea what their reputation is?
