New 1250 purchased

Post by Gman1969 »

Dear all, just traded in the RT for the 1250GS Rallye TE, the new engine is awesome, Im sure it will be as good on the new RT but the colour and look of the Rallye just won me over.
I may still lurk about and who knows may even come back to the fold depending on how I get on with it :)

Thanks for everyones help and assistance

Cheers

What country do you live in?
The cheapest thing on a BMW is the nut that connects the handlebars to the seat.

You lucky git. Did you not think about a new RT with the 1250 engine? I've been reading ride reports on the UKGSER forum of guys who have ridden it, they all seem to love the new engine

Im in the UK and I had a 2016 RT
I would certainly not write the RT off as it was the best bike I have owned however I will be doing alot less motorway runs now I work from home more and more. I will give the GS a good go for the next year - hopefully the next 3-4 years and see how things pan out.
The new engine will be incredible on the new RT its really was that good (engine & gearbox) in comparison to my 2016 model.
