so an update, had a call from the Motorrad Centre and they have confirmed that the engine will be replaced under warranty. Don't have the full details around what was found, but BMW UK gave them the go ahead to investigate further.

One happy customer tonight, shame it's taken so long to get to this stage. But please that it's now been resolve and the bike will soon be back on the road 😀

Good result.

My son has just had a battle with Ford over an ecoboost 1.0 Focus engine, which, overheated and destroyed itself. It looks as if Ford are now going to replace the engine, however, it took the general problem to be highlighted on national TV before they gave in.

Well done, that's a great result. Please let us know when you get to hear what the problem was (assuming they'll tell you) Dying to hear what happened to the oil!
