The original is not chrome plated.
Chrome will discolour to some lovely blues, but it won't look like that brown mess that appears on the non chromed pipes.

These photos look like the chrome headers on my 2012 Twincam RT.

My 2007 Hexhead had stainless steel headers like these.

The Ceramic coating from Camcoat looks like Polished Aluminium according to their website, The samples they showed me backed up their website claim. Hopefully they'll look good, if not? I'll give them a coat of Dulux Midnight Blue gloss  ;)

They'll look lovely, and the smell will be terrific....coupled with a haze of smoke behind you....just like an old stroker!

You won't be riding the RT until April!
You are REALLY missing out on some of the best RT motorcycling season. Often the roads are dry. The traffic is less, The visibility through hedge lines is better because the foliage has gone. The list goes on. It is a superb time of year to ride. The superb fairing, heated grips and seat make this bike designed for this time of year.

Yep, I saw that from his original post. My point was the RT is THE bike to be using through the winter.

I don't have headers long enough to warrant ceramic coating, on my third set already curtesy of Mr BMW and the stuck exhaust flap. 2014 bike, 18k miles :)

David, As you know I'm also a fan of ACF50. In fact, I bought another quart today for £25.

I rode mine all year round, but all my bikes are testimant to the fact that it stops corrosion.

Out of interest, what does AYB charge? I wonder what he does that I don't do myself, which is spray it through a parrafin gun, twice a year and then rub over exposed parts with a cloth occasionally.
