R1200RT Weather Cover

Post by Wheelsthatgrip »

Hello All,

I am looking for Weather Cover recommendations for my 2017 R1200RT.  I have tried Nelson Rigg covers in XLarge (too small) and XXLarge (To large, cover lays on the ground).  The bike is stock and does not have a top case.

Have you found any covers that fit well?

Try your local Halfords branch. If I recall correctly about £50 for one that fits mine if I take the top box off. It seems quite a decent quality.

The xl Halfords one will go over mine with a top box fitted. It does leave a bit of each wheel exposed but I don't worry about it, wheels aren't delicate or fragile.

EBay JDC all weather cover £23.99 XL will do your job . Great cover , well made and waterproof with a tie cord at the bottom and a fastener in the middle to keep the cover secure

Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus Motorcycle Cover - Size LG
Best one I've tried, doesn't get ruined by the weather it's supposed to protect from.I can fit it with no luggage, or with just the panniers, or just the top box, or with all luggage (just).
