RT Stripes.

Post by PhilMill »

Has anybody seen this striping option and know if its available? I think it looks really good, I'd love to have it on mine.

Thanks, Phil

Hornig do a stripe kit, which is pretty similar, but I've only seen the 1250 version.

Like the look of that, makes the white option seem a lot more attractive.

My thoughts exactly, this was on a google image from some German site I think. It does give the bike a little something. I'll look at the Hornig site.

Yes please, I'd like to see what others may have done.  I'd like to break up the mass of white a bit, nothing OTT but something.

It's not identical, but it's a very similar colour scheme to the Japanese-market 'Anniversary' bike. We in the UK got the 'Iconic', while Japan had this version.

See this YouTube link. There's a detail shot of the badging at about the 2:30 mark.

I don't think it's a BMW 'factory' stripe kit - more likely to be an outsourced paintjob, like the Iconics were, from Dream Machine I think. It's very, very nice though - if it was available in the UK, I would have seriously considered one.

Edit - 787mech beat me to it!  :)

Added a little colour to mine today, not quite the 'celebration' model! But for £2.50 per side it looks at least 10mph faster 😁

Glad you like what I have done. Got the stripes from here (recognise the bike?). He was very helpful in designing and providing the stripes for me. Highly recommended.
