LC mirror removal

Post by Duggie »

Has anyone taken a mirror off a r1200rt LC model ?
I caught mine on a barrier and damaged the plastic casing, so I now want to replace the casing.
Is there a way of removing the casing without taking the mirror off the bike ?
Any help appreciated.

Yes it can be done because mine came off after a filtering misjudgement.  :-X

Clipped on from memory.

Hello Duggie...I think this is what you are attempting to do...2014-2018 RT LC

This is for the RH side.  The LH side is similar.

Hope this helps.

Likewise, I’ve had cause to clip the LH mirror rear fairing back on after knocking it against a tall plastic road works bollard overseas last year. Yes, it just clipped straight back on, having seen it hanging like a displaced eyeball on its retaining lanyard!!
