Headlight Bulbs (H7/55W) - Prices

Post by David. »

Took my bike for an oil & filter service at Cooper BMW Sunderland yesterday. The bike was presented to them will all lights/bulbs functioning. When picking the bike up, switched on the ignition (without starting) to find a headlight bulb warning symbol on the dash. If I purchased a "BMW" bulb, the dealers offered to fit it FOC. At £12.85 for a bulb, https://www.online-parts.co.uk/bmw-bike ... nth=03#sub #3, I politely said, leave it, I'll do it when I get home.

Got a spare bulb out of the cupboard in the garage & replaced the RHS dipped beam.

Looking for a replacement spare bulb, came across CarParts4less, https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/car-parts Have ordered a bulb for £1.46, inc. free P&P.

I replaced my headlamp bulb the other day, 2015 model.

I though that my 2011 bike was hard to do, it was a dawdle compared to this.

Doctor says that the skin on my fingers will eventually grow back!!

BMW should make its engineer perform maintenance on the things they design.  I really don't think they're riders, and certainly don't do their own repairs if they are.  The headlight department must be peopled by folks with a five-year-old's hands to fit in there!  At least they made the glove box opening usable without leaving skin behind.
