2017 R1200RT K52 Wiring information

Post by Diesel_888 »

Hi All,
Newbie to this forum,
I have owned R100RS (picked up new in Germany at
the factory in 1980 on the Overseas Delivery Program),then R1100RT,
2 x R1150RT twin-spark,
and now a MY17 R1200RT.
I'm looking for a wiring diagram for my bike.
This model has both the 10-pin Round Diagnostic connector AND
the EURO4 OBDII diagnostic connector. Apparently it uses both CANbus and LINbus protocols.
My Bike has 5 wires in the round connector in pin positions 1,3,6,9 and 10...
BUT I have NOT found a wiring diagram showing exactly that ...
(most have 4 wires, some are different colours and are using different pins)
Does anyone know where to find the right wiring diagram/schematic ?
Cheers and Thanks,
Dennis in Hobart, Tasmania

Haynes manuals have wiring diagrams. Haven't seen a copy for the Wethead but the diagnostic plug is shown in both the Hexhead & Camhead manuals.

The solution is for you to locate a wiring diagram.

Now what is the problem?

Found this photo of a 2017 GS, is it the same as an RT.
