riders backrest

Anyone know of a UK supplier who sells rider backrest for a BMW RT? on Sargent website it states that there backrest will not fit an OEM stock seat only a Sargent seat , any help welcome .

I think you have to buy an after-market seat with the built-in hardware for the backrest.  If you're riding solo on a longish tour, I just pile stuff on the pillion and lean back.

I have a stand-alone backrest for my 2014 R1200RT, and it worked with my stock seat.  It's just sitting in my garage if you would like it, albeit I'm across the pond.  Woody's Importium, Ltd. in Wales, UK is a Bakup authorized distributor, here:  https://bakupusa.com/store/ols/products/r1200rt-water-cool-driver
