2014 R1200RT Accelerator Module

Post by Pope »

Just got one of these to test on my RTLC, so as soon as i figure out how to remove the off-side fairing panels, i'll be fitting it and...er..testing it.
Anyone else fitted one to their RTLC yet?
I've previously used these on my 2009 and 2013 GSA's, with good results.
So in the interest of science, even though the fuelling is very good on the RT, i'll be interested to see how it performs on this bike.

Ah yes..

Its a little gizmo that plugs into the bikes Air Temp Sensor. That fools the ECU into thinking that the ambient air temp. is 20c lower than it actually is.
Modern BMWs tend to run quite lean, due to EC fuel regs. Therefor the AC Mod. makes the fueling run a bit richer, which gives a bit more performance.

Worked really well on my GS's. And strangely, the fuel consumption was unaffected.

Update...

I'm not going to fit the Mod now, as i've had a Remap job done instead, and its brilliant.
