Motoscan with 2021 RT

Post by krw »

Hi All, new to the forum.  Just bought my 2021 RT two weeks ago.  I am coming from an 01 Road King that I bought new in 01, which is now gone.  Quite a change to hop on the RT, but what a great machine.

So here is my problem.  I hit the 600mi mark today and did my first service.  I have the OBDLink LX and motoscan ultimate app, but seems I am unable to reset the service interval.  I get an error message "No Data" when connecting to KOMBI.  Has anyone had any luck with this as yet?  I have also reached out to Motoscan support, but not sure if/when I will hear back from them.

Thanks,
-Kevin-

I think I have answered my own question with some more digging in.  Looks like not even GS-911 is supporting the 10"TFT on the RT yet.  Guess it is off to the dealer I go to get the reset done.  The earliest appointment I could get was July 29th (made when I bought the bike 2 weeks ago), but at least I know it has clean oil in it until then...

Thank you David and Sally.  Update on the motoscan issue for others who might be curious.  They were not aware of the change, so I sent logs to them so that they can get it in the next release, which is looking like it might be in August.

Update on Motoscan for the 1250RT.  Confirmed that in version 1.8, service reset for the new TFT is now enabled.
