fairing power socket
Does anyone know the max watts or amps that the power socket can cope with before tripping the Canbus?
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Had a recalculation and my jacket only draws 1.5 amps. So i should be fine. With my maths now working correctly with 5 amps i could run a pair of 40 wat spots with ease.

Wow! that's low, what jacket is that? my Gerbing jacket draws 6.4 amps, gloves 2.2 amps (per pair), socks 2.2 amps (per pair) pants are 4 amps and vest is 5.4 amps.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

It's a Keis V501RP Pro. It's not a full jacket but a body warmer. I find as long as my torso is warm I've no need for heated sleeves. I've also just bought a pair of Keis G701 gloves but they draw more at 1.6amp.

If you’re out in it all day there’s absolutely no pleasure in being cold. It’s not just about comfort as it also adversely affects your riding performance.
Oh, the blissful pleasure of a heated jacket on a cold day!

I have a heated waistcoat as well as using the heated seat and grips. Hate riding in the cold and damp. I agree about performance.

As long as my Kidneys and chest are warm i don't mind how cold it is
