I could be wrong, and normally am, but I read somewhere that it not a legal necessity to take spare bulbs but Monsieur Le Gendarme can prevent you from continuing your journey until the bulb is replaced. However, the bike will turn one of your main beams on if your dipped fails so you’ll still be displaying a light to the front? So you could take the risk…

I’m also heading to France next month but I’m getting replacement Cyclops LEDs fitted before we go to resolve any potential bulb problems.

You only need one bulb per type. Cheaper to buy separate bulbs from Europarts and keep them in a little bag.
In my experience, you are more likely to be pulled over by the Plod over here than in France or Spain. The only time ive been stopped in France was when they timed me between tolls. 60 Euro on the spot fine. They use the time from when you leave one toll to cover the distance get to the other. They have the toll camera and ticket time proof. I just put my hands up as they calculated i was averaging 20K over the limit. I wasn't, i was doing a bit more than that. That was the first time in 35 odd years of traveling in Europe.
Motorbikes must have their headlamps on all the time. Halo's or side lamps don't count. No hi-vis vest is a fine so is not carrying a breathalyzer. Hazard lights must be used when lane splitting. Not law but you can be pulled over for a ticking off.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Not having a breathalyser may be contrary to their regs, but no fine for doing so.

That being said, we carry one on the basis that if you get pulled and you don’t have a breatyliser kit then it may just lead them into searching for other offences rather than it just being a ‘Stop/check’.

The rules for filtering -

Yep, you’re right[size=78%]. It was repealed in Jan 2020 👍

Don’t forget your UK sticker, and depending where you’re going you may need a Crit’air sticker, cheap and relatively easy to obtain online.

I did say ‘relatively’.  ;)

Is your photo with their size criteria? If it is then use another computer if you have one, or turn your computer off then on again, then try once more.

I had the same with another online form, couldn’t see what I’d done wrong but it just kept jamming. In the end I used my wife’s computer and it went through first time.
