Micro mini 1/4" ratchet to carry on the bike

Post by Steve398 »

The other day the bike was in for a minor job and I saw the mechanic using a mini ratchet. Great for the confined spaces and easily transportable for the bike @ £12.99

P.S. It’s worth pointing out that the torx bit can also be fitted into the bottom of the handle, so that it can be used as a straight driver as well as a ratchet wrench.

Always useful those small rackets. I carry on the bike a Beta Mini Set. Got it some years ago in a closing down sale, couldn't resist the price. So glad I bought it because I use it all the time on the bike. Handy for all the fairing screws etc.

I carry one of these Facom sets, yes it is expensive but it has so many useful bits in such a small size and great quality and guarantee .

But I have to say the micro one the OP linked to, looks very good and might work where nothing else would.

I've owned the same racket for years. Found it in Halford's discount bin. IRC it cost £5. It came on a little plastic box with assorted bits and an adapter for small 1/4 sockets. Still use it for the fiddly tight jobs,

I recently got one of these

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/wera-38 ... t-bit-set/

expensive but very well built and a good bit of kit

It fits nicely on one of the cubby holes on the bike and is to be left on the bike hopefully never to be used while out and about

Just ordered one of these, 1 x SabreCut MRSC01 Mini Micro Ratchet 1/4" Hex Stainless Steel Professional 72 Tooth Gear Hand Ratchet Wrench : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

but directly from Sabrecut, 1pc Mini Micro Ratchet 1/4" Hex - MRSC01 | SabreCut | Ratchets

If you register for an account, you get 20% off your first order, free standard delivery. Cost reduced from £12.99 to £10.39.

As per the OP, I like the look of the straight driver and ratchet wrench option.

Most unexpectedly, the tool turned up today by Royal Mail 24 (next day). It's quite dinky and nice quality.

This is a lightweight design that is well made... Not too pricey.

It fits nicely in one of the storage cubby holes either side of the tank

Its enough for minor things while out and about but recovery is the main back up
