Post by Dreadnought »

Tonights silly question, does anyone make a RH lockable compartment to match tge LH as the blanking panel seems pointless?

Agreed!

The RH compartment is tiny, about the same size as the left, if not smaller. One could just about squeeze an old iPhone 7 in there without a case.

BMW have rectified this on the 2021/2 model with the LED headlight.

Have you thought about a tankbag yet?

Thanks for this, but I'll give it a miss as I'm struggling a little with things in the eye line, probably from years of riding naked bikes, or ones with small cockpit fairings, the RT is a real change for me and I'm getting used to it

Dreadnought, I'm getting the impression that you don't yet have a top box for storage.

If that is so, then I can tell you that I have a topbox on all the time and the panniers mounted only for touring. Valaubles are locked in the top-box and other stuff kept in the tank-bag.

Hi yes, I have the full luggage including top box, inner liners, tank bag, just saw a bike with a RH compartment and it sparked my intertest, as I miss the large fairing box on the earlier models

Did you have the key coded ?, I see the connector for the central locking is there to connect up to, did you buy it used or order from a dealer ?.
