LED bulbs

Post by Doctor T »

Been looking for a while at LED headlight bulbs. Never liked them until driving my car at night, LED are fitted as standard on my car. I can now see the improvement over halogen bulbs.
As i search i can only find ones with Hi/Low beams but as my bike has 2 low beams and 1 Hi beam, am not sure if these bulbs will work in low beams only. Any help with be appreciated.

You need to go careful with a lot of LED bulbs as the LED is not always in the same position as the filament on halogen bulbs which will produce a different light pattern and cause stray light too.

It's at this point that people become blinded!

There was also a lot of speculation about LED bulbs being illegal as they aren't made for reflector units :blah:

I had one fitted to my fjr and they was fantastic and mimic a halogen bulb

I will see if I can find a link to them

Retrofitting of LED bulbs is legal now but must produce the same lighting pattern as the original Halogen bulb. I've been looking at LED bulbs where the angle/ pattern is adjustable. I hate being blinded by boy racers so i wouldn't like to blind anyone either.
