RT’s Fuel Capacity

Post by Tenequip »

Hello
Yesterday, due to circumstances, I needed to run the RT about 30 to 35 miles pass the zero miles left of fuel. Well today I was able to get 6.6 gallons of gas into the tank. The internet says that the tank holds 25 liters, which is 6.6043 gallon. Which left me .0043 gallons when I arrived at the gas station. Has anyone ever put more than 6.6 gallons in the RT?

25 US liters = 25 UK litres, just spelled (US) or spelt (UK) differently.

Hello
I think a liter is liter and put 26.6 gallons of US gas into the RT’s gas tank. What I was wondering, has anyone else put more in?

Haven't put more in but have put 25 litres in my 2012 Camhead, the remaining range showed (- - - ) zero.

I wouldn't risk doing many more miles after that, you've done well to get another 30 - 35 miles.

I haven't a clue what my 07 tank can take. I just fill to the brim with every fill up.

I regularly get 300 miles from my 2007 RT. At 55 mpg this means about 24.7 litres

I've never dared push it that low, but it's interesting that you've got 30 or so miles left after the readout say no. Gallons, litres or cups of tea, 30miles is a big get out of jail free card.

Has anyone else ridden past no range left? And if so, how far?

I’ve put 24.5 litres in with 0 miles left. I think I’d done about 25-30 miles with it saying 0 miles. I regularly put 23+ litres in. MPG varies between 51 and 56.

I never let my tank empty so low that it might suck up any crap lying in the bottom of it on either bike or car. :?
