Grips for 2019 ?

Post by Panman40 »

When I had my pan 1300 I had the older style tapered bmw grips on it which I liked, is there a way to fit that style to my 2019 R1250 ?. I found these on eBay 🤔

I’m a bit bemused by the fact that they show a picture of a cut grip, does that mean that the heater element of the original BMW grip is left on the bike with these £28 old style grips slid over them?
I’d love a set as I find the OEM too small and smooth.

From the ebay link, Item Description.

"The heating element remains on the handlebar tube, you just replace the rubber grips."

I have tried them but didn’t really get on with them.

As far as cutting into the heating elements, I generally push a rounded off wooden dowel between element and grip then cut into the gap created.
