The bigger piece in the wheel side.Top tip, push it through from the driveshaft side and do it up from the wheel side,it's a pain trying to do it the other way.And I used a pair of long nosed plyers to tighten it up with a dab of medium thread lock.Who knows if I'll be able to get it off

Thanks, I was trying to do it that way but it didn’t seem to sort itself on the final drive side, did you take out the plastic seal then fit the thingy or fit the thingy with the seal in place ?. :?:

It's a right bugger as I found out when you try and do it from the driveshaft side because as you say,you have to split the seal(into 2 parts with the rubber ring staring at you  )
I put that all back together and undid the wheel side from the rod, much easier.Mine sat in the orifice nice and snug then I just attached the wheel side and made tight with the long nosed plyers.

Mmm, maybe mines difference, I noticed the smaller side was in 2 halves so kept that screwed up tight, I can’t get it to slide through the oe plastic ring seal though, seems it’s only the o ring stopping it pulling through the centre tube. Dunno

Try loosening the smaller bit and then push it in,just hold it when tightening up.When I worked out not to split the smaller section it went in a piece of pish :thumb:

Well the one I received just isn’t long enough to attach both caps! , had a good look today outside the cramped shed and just now way it’s going to reach . Mines a 1250 so I don’t know if there’s a difference but not that I’m aware of.

Fitted mine to my 2012 bike yesterday. Not convinced I have it in the right way around, or if there is a 'right' way, as both discs will pass through the center hole...

Anyway, it's on and looks nice!
