Whilst we were away this year, Michael kindly offered to plan our 2024 trip, somewhere "En France"
Not wanting to miss out, I wondered if any potential dates were agreed after I went to bed?!

Re: Annual Meet 2024
We discussed a 3 or 4 night trip, around the same dates as this year.
I know it's 12 months off but I propose a long weekend over either the weekend of 13th/14th or 20th 21st July 2024, traveling on a Thursday returning Monday or travel on a Friday and returning Tuesday.

Have you thought about summer holidays, schools in France finish at the beginning of July and as a consequence accommodation charges rise.

Good point. however did you believe that meticulous planning was ever a strong forte of any of us, drinking on the other hand were quite accomplished.Sharkfighter wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:30 pm Have you thought about summer holidays, schools in France finish at the beginning of July and as a consequence accommodation charges rise.

Re: Annual Meet 2024
Hi John
Sorry for delayed response but I've been away. (not MHP)
I was only discussing yesterday with Sim the 2024 RT meet.
I'm wondering IF there would be anyone that fancied extending the RT meet in France.
My thought pattern (not normally the best I admit)
Myself and Sim take two European trips a year (1 x with and 1 x without the ladies). So do I try and split the the 2024 meet up?
Keep the first 3 nights within a couple of hours from Calais so that attendees that wish a short trip can return back to the UK, then anyone that would like a longer trip could join myself and Sim further into France, Germany etc for a further 7 or 8 days.
Dates could be altered for earlier or later in the year if that helps attendees plan.
Only throwing the idea out there for some feedback, I just thought it maybe a shame for a group of us like minded fools to be over the water and not make it into a lads biking holiday.

Re: Annual Meet 2024
Could do that. I'd be happy to join you for a longer ride to germany etc. Might have to come back a bit earlier than you but can plan a solo route back.
July or later works best for me as Ive already got bike trips planned to Spain and France in May/ June.
Thanks for organising.

Re: Annual Meet 2024
Unsure as to be able to extend time or not . The two weekends deffinatly not able to attend at all are 13th/14th or 20th 21st July 2024. But like previously stated if those are the dates so be it.
