How do I cancel route in map mode?

Hi, I have had my new 1250 RT for just a few days and I can't find how to cancel the route when I am in map mode using the BMW connected app, does anyone know?

Enter navigation mode on bike and select end current route. I’m not on my bike now but I suggest you pan down through the commands in navigation mode and and set up the navigation as you want.

Went and took a look at the bike. This what you need to do: go to navigation mode, select “active route guidance “ by pushing the left handle grip selector to the right, then select “end route guidance” by pushing selector to the right. This should end the route.
