Location of Can-Bus Plug

Hi. I have a 2023 1250 RT, and want to power an accessory (i.e., a usb charger that I’ll keep in my tank bag) by connecting it to the Can-Bus system, so that the power to the accessory turns off when the bike is off. I bought this pigtail (see photo), but am not sure where the Can-Bus connector is located on the bike. Anyone know?

When i fitted all my accessory, I avoilded connecting anything into the Can-Bus system.
I fitted a fuse box and 40amp relay that is powered from the battery.
I just used the time delay switch-live on the bike.
So all my accessory that are connected turn off after 60sec if i forget.
I fitted the fuse box behind the right speaker panel as i dont have a radio.
It makes it easier to change a fuse if needed and its out the way.

Hi,
Done exactly the same thing on a 2021 RT.
Looking down in front of the tank on left hand side (as when sat on bike) just under the bottom of the cubby hole, you will see some wiring all clipped in. Amongst that you should also see a blanked off connector (black), cabled tied to the loom.
Carefully !!!cut the cable tie to free it it up.
Going to assume nothing changed on 2023 version!
Works a treat for me

I piggyback the switched feed from the accessory socket ( front or rear) to a relay and a fused power feed direct from the accessible positive battery terminal.

Thanks exportman. If (when) I have any other accessories to add, I plan to tap into this pigtail for switched power, and then add some sort of fuse block (like a PDM60 or Fuzeblock) directly connected to the battery. I think you are saying that’s what you did. Right?

If that's what you ware going to do then use the accessory plug to operate a relay to turn on the fuze block rather than splicing in to wiring

That way it will shut off after 30 seconds too

Thanks. I may not have been clear, but yes that’s what I intend to do. I will tap into the yellow pigtail in pic above, so that it serves as the relay to know when the bike is on/off. The power will come from the fuzeblock (or PDM 60), that will be connected to the battery.

Yes that's what I did I didn't have radio on my 16 bike so I put the fuse box in the speaker pod on the right worked perfectly for 7 years then early last year I changed the bike for a new one.
