Phone adapter for Nav6 prep

Post by RubyRT »

Hi all

I’m looking for an adapter to fit into the existing gps/Nav6 prep on my 2016 R1200RT, to attach my iPhone (I don’t want to fork out for the Nav6 option)

Found this one, £48 on Amazon and can charge phone wirelessly in the bracket, but also has USB option.

Has anyone tried this product? It claims to have vibration protection, but no reviews on Amazon to verify.

Thanks
Geoff

I know a few that has mounted them successfully not sure on if the anti vibration works though

For me I will never mount a phone again due to killing the camera!

If you have a spare phone though you could cut that worry

Or by the zumo XT and an adaptor

Is the adapter available also from EU vendors? I am only asking because of the shipping times.

The adapter arrived from mainland China in less than 2 weeks, that is a bit surprise. Even when I opted not to pay for fast shipping.
I chose the cordless-charging model, to remove the need for cable.

Testing will start this weekend.
I am here to learn.
