Screen Advice Please

Post by Capt Sisko »

When I bought my '18 R1250RT it came with a short 'sports' screen. Great for the two weeks a year which we Brits call summer when appreciate the extra blast of air, but it's not up to much in terms of protection at motorway speeds, so I bought a Wunderlich screen deflector thingy. That does help but it's pretty ugly and seems to need constant tweaking. Come the first winter and I went in the opposite direction and bought a Wunderlich Marathon screen (aka, a barn door), and it's great, and I mean really good in the cold weather, but too good once it starts to warm up.

So, and I know that we all have diffent opinions on what's good and some recommendations may not be available in the UK, but what's the hives mind on a happy medium for late spring to autumn use? OR Does anyone have a stock screen for sale or they'd like to swap for a sports screen?

I'm 6ft tall, generally ride with the seat in the high position and prefer to look over the top rather than through, plus wind noise, or rather the lack thereof is important to me.

I have a stock screen with some small chips (not an issue if looking over), if you want to take a look, pop over to Newport
