I was looking on the internet yesterday for any new regulations that may affect our upcoming annual pilgrimage to Greece in 2 weeks time, and came across this -

As an example France and Italy are no particular problem, Austria, Luxembourg, and Portugal have very strict regulations over their use.

I can see that posting videos of number plates and people's faces could violate privacy laws. Dash cams are there for a purpose. 99% write over themselves over time.
As long as users don't publish the footage on a media site, you're fine. Should think that GoPro comes under the same ruling.

Never trust a country that doesn't allow filming. They must have something to hide. See, Russia isn't on the list
