LC rear end with panniers looking dull

Post by Steveeung »

i look at the LC from the rear with its panniers and it looks dull (it's a go faster Marino Blue so looks great from other angles). Anyone got pics of how they've jazzed up / customised the rear end to make it 1. Look better and/or 2. Look more visible to cars from the rear? I'm expecting a few wise cracks but it's a genuine question. By the way I have the colour coded top box with brake light but tend not to use it so don't really mean to include that in the options.  :)

You say the top box is not an option but its a pile of money to sit in your shed.  The brake light is very bright and at the perfect height to wake up dozy drivers.  I would reconsider your options.

Steveeung I'm not sure what you don't like about the design of the rear of the bike? To me it was one of its selling points. I love my bike from all angles. I agree with RTman10 that is indeed a pile of money sat in your garage inn the form of a top box which has brake lights fitted which would go along way of alerting (cageman) you are slowing down. I used to have all kinds of stickers and reflectors on my Tiger XC boxes etc. however, to stick stuff on the Arty is not an option. You could let me give the top box a nice new home though  :))

Could put some safety  `Chevrons'  on the rear of the panniers  - several options on the web,  these Sites do a variety , shown first  are  `GS' , but I have seen some `RT' ones. -  Last site is for the later RT's

Stelyn many thanks that's the type of thing I was looking for ... Or tail tidies etc. When I said I already have a top box and brake light I meant that I ride it 50/50 with and without top box so I was looking ideas that didn't say 'add a top box'. Apologies for confusing.  8)
