Garmin BaseCamp says that both the NCMM to Castleton (outward) & Castleton to NCMM (return) are 1hr 15min each x 2 + lunch at Castleton, I'd estimate a total of 3hr 30min.

Home to NCMM for me is 1hr 22min + P&T, say 2hr each way, a total of 7hr 30min.

Some riders may need less or more time to get to the NCMM, for the start of the Peak District circular route.

Would be nice to have a look at the route if you would be so kind. I'm on Basecamp so .gdb would be good for me. Thanks.

We'll be passing through Holmfirth on the outward route, could easily make a stop if anyone feels the urge.

Cool! Looks a good route    Just as a heads up, there's a 'Horse Market' on Saturdays from 10:30 till 1pm ish in Holmfirth so it could be worth stopping elsewhere for a pit stop?

Thanks, that's another good reason for not stopping in Holmfirth.

If folks would like a stop between the NCMM & Castleton, how about The Fleece Inn in Holme.
