Ive always used hair lacquer to stick the grips on. I get a strange look when buying a can as i shave my hair to grade 2.

Nope not everyone.

I may do it over the winter Steve, I like the old bmw style grip.

I just installed GripPuppies on my RT.
Still adjusting to it but I think once used to it, I'll keep it.

A to installing them, I read somewhere that Purell (or any other alcohol-based hand sanitizer) worked great.
I liked this option as contrary to soapy water, it doesn't contains any ingredients that could be reactivated once soaked in water and make the grips slip.
That's what I did and it litellraly took me 1 minute to install both sides.
The longest part of the install was to cut the grips the right length!

The rain does not reactivate the soapy water

Good, then when you’ve perfected the technique you can do mine!

I prefer Grip Buddies myself. They wrap around and secure with some very strong velcro. My current pair have done 12k miles and look good for another 12k.
