I picked up my San Marino blue 2015 R1200RT on Oct. 31Except for the "gray nose" I love the color.

Looks like you have added a few bits to it and taken one off.

I do not use the radio, so I removed the ugly antenna. I store it in the top box in case I need it.

Looks quite nice in blue, and the colour coded top box is a nice touch...not sure about the silver fairing top though..

That's confused me.  In the UK the audio units cost about $1600.00.  I left it off and put music in the GPS which works fine. And of course I don't have an ugly antenna.

I had a 75th Anniversary RT that came with something called audio prep. All it had was the antenna.  BMW must think its sexy as well. Then again on my 1600 Exclusive they hid it in the top box lid.  Maybe not so sexy after all.

In the top box lid.?
How strange,  So if you leave the top box off you have no radio ?

Yep.  No top box, no radio. German technology at its best. To be honest, as the box also has a brake light and arm rests as standard most never take it off.

Just waiting for the money to go through so I collect mine fully specced up LE including radio, it was a repaired recall bike that the owner had his money back on. I just wouldn't pay that money for the radio as has been said play back through BT if you're really keen. I can't believe people still supply FM and not digital radio. Still the good thing about the sound system is having buttons on the left side fairing instead of the "one option down" scars.

I like the colour keyed top box, I went to see mine again today still has the silver finish top box, think I'll leave it like that for now - may get it sprayed at a later date. I felt it would be too much in the black (ebony or whatever they call it).

Nice looking bike - but the Callisto Grey ones are definitely faster...
